On October 5th, The Barden Corporation announced it has been certified to ISO 50001 (Energy Management).
This accreditation complements the company's other global ISO certifications, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
The ISO 50001:2011 energy management system is based on a model of continuous improvement and offers a framework for organisations to reduce energy consumption through improvements to efficiency.
Commenting on the certification, Simon Pentecost, UK Regional Coordinator for EnEHS at Barden, said;
"This is a culmination of the work completed by all the team at Barden and demonstrates our commitment to managing all aspects of energy used at our site.
We have already demonstrated large savings in our energy consumption and related costs which directly contribute to the success of our business and positive impacts on the environment."
He added; "This is an excellent result for Barden and we are all very proud of the achievement."
