Quality Commitment
Quality is an essential element of the Barden service and is applied to every stage of the business. All Barden ball bearings can meet ISO P4/P2 (ABEC 7/9) measures if specified and will usually exceed them. However many other factors affecting ball bearing performance which are not covered by ISO/ABEC standards are also addressed. The company applies self-established standards and uses a number of proprietary test and measuring equipment to ensure quiet, smooth-running ball bearings that perform exceptionally well are produced every time.
Barden's facilities are certified to both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and the company has received numerous awards and accolades from both customers and suppliers. Full traceability can be offered on Barden aerospace bearings and the plant is certified to aerospace standards AS9100 and AS9120.
Investment in people and training is important to Barden. Since the
company was established, Barden has regularly recruited engineering
apprentices and is actively involved in encouraging more school-leavers
into engineering careers. Barden's committment to its people has also been rewarded by a National Investors in People award and implementation of the Schaeffler Group's 'Fit for Quality' initiative involves every member of staff with the aim of acheiving zero defects across all aspects of manufacturing and service.
