Super precision ball bearing manufacturer, The Barden Corporation (UK) Ltd, has presented a cheque to St Luke's Hospice after holding a dinner dance evening over the festive season.
Barden UK presented £1,200 to the charity which supports terminally ill patients, after the fundraising event at the New Continental Hotel. Around 130 people attended the annual dinner dance, which featured a raffle with prizes donated by many local businesses.
Julie Stanton of the Barden Sports and Social Club who organised the evening, said: "We hold a raffle at our dance every year and each time the response from local businesses is overwhelming. We are grateful for all of the great prizes donated. There is no doubt this helped to raise a fantastic amount for St Luke's, a charity close to all of our hearts. We are happy we can support them in this way."
